Rep. Baird comes through
Rep. Baird is one of the few obviously honest men in Washington right now. Just about everyone else has mixed motives. Either they helped cause the mess in Iraq–and that includes the vast majority of Dems–or they want to avoid responsibility for it, also the vast majority of Dems. Baird didn’t help start the mess, but recognizes a national obligation to clean it up. What a concept. He has an op/ed in the Seattle Times here.
